Château Rollan de By 2022 – Médoc

A lovely fruity and fragrant nose. It expresses the aromas of fresh blackcurrant, black plum, morello cherry, wild strawberry and red cherry, complemented by floral (peony, violet), herbaceous (rosemary, wild mint) and slight spicy notes (licorice, a hint of cinnamon and vanilla). There is also a very delicate toasted note. On the palate, the attack is juicy, very fruity and open. It envelops a powerful tannic structure, and the tight side of a primeur wine. The tannins are grippy, but ripe, with a fine grain. The wine expresses the juicy and concentrated flavors of morello cherry, blackcurrant, red cherry, crushed strawberry and raspberry coulis, complemented by refined touches of mint chocolate, licorice, cinnamon, vanilla powder, peony and violet. The finish is persistent, with good acidity and energy. A full-bodied wine, with density, depth, firm structure and freshness. A great promise of development.
