On the nose, aromatic and offers some power, intensity as well as a fine grain. There are notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry and more slightly violet associated with touches of small black berries, crushed currant as well as fine points of camphor, cuben pepper. On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers minerality, fine tension, energy and finesse/sweetness. It reveals notes of juicy/acidic blackberry, small dark berry and more lightly black plum combined with hints of pulpy raspberry, lily, cardamom as well as fine mocha and toasted notes. The wine expresses a discreet hint of vanilla and a subtle chewiness on the finish/persistence. The tannins are finely marked.
