The nose is full-bodied and reveals power and concentration. There are notes of bright wild red berries, pulpy blackcurrant and, more lightly, wild raspberry combined with fine touches of liquorice, a discreet hint of bergamot and vanilla. The palate is fruity/earthy and offers brightness, gourmandize, purity and definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, raspberry and more lightly red currant combined with fine touches of juicy blackcurrant as well as fine hints of star anise, vanilla, a discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco and an imperceptible herb/thyme. The tannins are elegant and smooth.
