Château Roc de Candale 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Roc de Candale 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is a bit tight at the moment and benefits from being decanted. There are notes of clove, sweet pepper and slight notes of nutmeg associated with a discreet hint of smoke, flowers as well as a subtle hint of almost aromatic herbs. The palate is fruity with juiciness, brightness and gourmandise. There is pulpiness of the fruit, energy, roundness and a little flattering side. We have notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, purple plum and small notes of bright blackcurrant associated with touches of crushed strawberry as well as fine hints of vanilla, cypress and an almost balsamic hint in the background. A lovely fruity wine with a little mellowness to Tannins and a little chewiness on the finish.
