Château Rieussec 2017 – Sauternes Cru Classé

Château Rieussec 2017 – Sauternes Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, fruity, crunchy and offers depthness, freshness as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of lemon, candied zest of lemon and small notes of mandarin, mandarin mesocarp associated with small touches of almond, nutmeg and a very discreet hint of cinnamon, white flowers and an imperceptible hint of jasmine. The palate is well-balanced, a bit tight, precise, dense and offers a beautiful freshness, unctuousity, an acid frame, a beautiful tension as well as a small aerial side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, candied nectarine and small notes of fresh pear / fresh white fruits associated with fine touches of roasted pineapple, white flowers, candied ginger as well as a hint of vanilla, sweet spices and slight hints of toasted almonds. Good length.
