The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a fine density as well as deepness. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe blackberry and small notes of wild blackberry associated with small touches of spices, nutmeg and Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, freshness, concentration, suavity, minerality, tension as well as a mineral/acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/ripe cassis and small notes of black cherry associated with small touches of liquorice, cherry, hints of violet as well as fine hints of vanilla, liquorice, cocoa, coffee, toasted and a very discreet hint of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built and very finely firm.
