The nose is fresh and offers concentration and accuracy. It expresses notes of black plum, morello cherry, crushed strawberry, red currant jam, raspberry coulis, as well as mint chocolate, licorice, cloves and fresh violet. On the palate, the wine is juicy, fruity and refined. It expresses notes of crunchy red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, crushed strawberry and raspberry coulis, combined with notes of sugar violet and peony. The tannins are quite powerful and tight, but fine. Good length with lively, refreshing acidity. We also find fresh notes of peppermint, licorice, a touch of roasted meat and coffee. Good length and juiciness. A fresh and savoury wine.
