The nose is fruity, tight and reveals pulpiness, freshness and a certain richness. There are notes of stewed nectarine, small white fruits in syrup combined with touches of quince, candied mirabelle plum, white flowers as well as discreet hints of saffron, cypress and a subtle touch of candied zest mandarin. The palate is nicely fresh, mineral, balanced, discreetly tight and shows roundness, a certain richness, good definition, a fresh/mineral structure, tension and elegance as well as a certain straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy apple, crushed/fresh peach and more lightly fresh berries combined with hints of juicy/fresh kumquat, lychee, quenette, a subtle hint of vanilla as well as hints of spice and cypress. Good length. A fine hint of pastry in the background.
