Château Puygueraud 2019 – Francs Côtes de Bordeaux

Château Puygueraud 2019 – Francs Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and offers power (in control), intensity (in control) and a beautiful purity of the fruit. It reveals notes of bright small wild black fruits, violet plum, small notes of liquorice associated with small touches of camphor, zan, black tea and very discreet hints of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, finely tight, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, a fine tension as well as precision, suavity and a racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, small pulpy black berries, small notes of fresh/bright blueberry associated with touches of crushed Gariguette strawberry as well as hints of zan, violet, mild tobacco, very discreet hints of toasted, black tea, cuben pepper, an imperceptible hint of coffee, vanilla and cocoa (in the background). Good length.
