Château Puygueraud 2017 – Francs Cotes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, juicy and offers crunchiness as well as power. It reveals notes of cassis, crunchy/juicy black berries and small juicy blue fruits associated with fine touches of wild strawberry, liquorice, toasted as well as subtle touches of flowers/cornflower and a hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful suavity, tension, fat, a beautiful acid frame, a good structure, freshness as well as a fine power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crunchy/juicy cassis and more slightly crunchy red berries associated with touches of tonka bean/cocoa, subtle touches of toasted, spices and a hint of Sichuan pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine and slightly chewy. Good length. There is a hint of cocoa and nut on the persistence (give gourmandize).
