Château Puy Guilhem 2018 – Fronsac

The nose offers a fine richness, gourmandize as well as a small power. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, crushed blueberry, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of sugared mild tobacco, Sichuan pepper, tonka bean, a discreet hint of tea and a subtle hint of toasted almond. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, juiciness, tension, a small power as well as a fine straightness and creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, crushed blueberry, small notes of creamy cassis associated with touches of strawberry as well as hints of cornflower, chocolate, a subtle hint of caramelization and toasted hazelnut. Good length.
