Château Puy Guilhem 2017 – Fronsac

Château Puy Guilhem 2017 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity, finely tight, fresh and offers a fine intensity (in the background). This wine opens up little by little and need to be decanted. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, ripe strawberry and small notes of cassis associated with very fine hints of spices, minerality, limestone and very discreet hints of nutmeg, tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of tea. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a good definition as well as a certain dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy blackberry and small notes of juicy raspberry associated with fine hints of fresh violet as well as fine hints of limestone, tonka bean/chocolate and spices. Tannins are elegant. Good length.
