Château Prieuré-Lichine 2015 – Margaux, 4ème Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, racy, intense, quite powerful and offers a velvety side as well as depthness. It reveals notes of cassis, strawberry and blackberry associated with touches of racy minerality / terroir, flowers / violet, subtle hints of spices, Sichuan pepper as well as an imperceptible touch of tonka bean (in the background) and wood. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful mineral frame (racy minerality), fat, a slight suavity, delicacy, freshness, finesse as well as tension / a small aerial side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, ripe raspberry / crushed and slight notes of crunchy Boysenberry associated with slight touches of ripe red fruits, racy minerality, spices, wood as well as slight touches of bean tonka, tea (in the background) and a slight / imperceptible hint of salinity in the background / on the finish. Tannins are fine and slightly chewy. Good persistence. There are a very discreet toasted hint on the persistence and an imperceptible touch of almond on the aftertaste.
