Château Pierrail – Cuvée Prestige 2015 – Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic and offers a fine freshness, juiciness and a beautiful fruit. It reveals fine notes of ripe citrus / ripe clementine and fine touches of apple and pear associated with a subtle hint of menthol / flowers and discreet woody hints. The wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful freshness, fat, a good acid frame as well as straightness / fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pear, ripe vine peach and ripe / juicy citrus associated with a discreet touch of oak, vanilla and fine touches of caramelized oak and an imperceptible touch of hazelnut on the finish / aftertaste (brings gourmandise). Good length. The finish is round and suave. There is an imperceptible almost saline hint on the persistence / aftertaste.
