Château Pierrail 2015 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is fruity and relatively fine. It reveals notes of cassis, wild black berries and slight notes of blackberry associated with discreet hints of wild strawberry, hints of toasted oak, coffee, spices as well as a discreet hint of mocha and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a beautiful gourmandise, finesse, suavity, freshness, roundness as well as a nice definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, cassis and slight hints of blueberry associated with hints of raspberry, strawberry as well as slight hints of chocolate, toasted oak and licorice. Tannins are fine and very slightly firm. Good length and persistence.
