Château Picourneau-Malvezin 2019 – Haut-Médoc

Château Picourneau-Malvezin 2019 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is fruity, floral and offers energy, freshness and concentration. There are notes of boysenberry, fleshy cherry and more slightly iris, fresh lily combined with hints of ripe currants, fine points of racy minerality and a discreet hint of varietal and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, straightness, tension, an acidic backbone and a nice juicy/fresh fruit. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blueberry, blackcurrant and slightly fresh lily notes combined with hints of crushed strawberry, racy minerality as well as fine vanilla and a subtle hint of caramelised almond. The tannins are racy. Nice work on the bitter taste. Fine chewiness and a fine hint of mocha on the finish.
