Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2014 – 2ème Grand Cru Classé à Pauillac

The nose is fruity, elegant, fine, gourmand and very charming. It expresses notes of fruit (strawberry, raspberry, cassis, black fruit) and spices associated with small notes of clove, graphite, small woody notes as well as touches of warm spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, suave, nicely mineral, elegant, well built, complex and offers a nice tension and a nice ample and silky matter. In the mouth it expresses notes of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and juicy plum associated with slight notes of blueberry, cherry (in background), a few spicy notes (in the background) as well as touches of pepper and toast on the finish. There is also a slight touch of saline minerality. Tannins are fine, well integrated, powerful and elegant. Good length and persistence. A great success!
