The nose is elegant, fruity, racy and offers a small richness, power as well as a small freshness. It reveals notes of blackberry, wild strawberry and small notes of ripe cassis associated with fine touches of liquorice as well as hints of Sichuan pepper and very discreet hints of undergrowth. The palate is elegant, fruity and offers a juicy / acidulous frame, a beautiful racy minerality, a good structure, gourmandise, a small generosity, sapidity as well as a beautiful matter and a very slightly tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, blackberry and small notes of ripe wild strawberry associated with small touches of small ripe wild red berries, hints of undergrowth, liquorice stick as well as discreet hints of tonka bean, mushroom, a very fine salin hint (in the background) and very discreet hints of vanilla (in the background). Tannins are structuring and a bit firm. Good length.
