Château Peyros Vielles Vignes 2019 – Madiran

Château Peyros Vielles Vignes 2019 – Madiran

The wine has a deep ruby color. On the nose, the wine expresses pronounced aromas of red and black fruits (morello cherry, black plum, red plum, blackcurrant, strawberry, with a sweet touch of dark chocolate and a minty freshness). There are also sweet spices (cinnamon, liquorice, cloves) and a slight note of smoked meat and leather. On the palate, the wine expresses tension, freshness, flavours of small red berries (cherry, Morello cherry, cranberries), as well as the sweetness of ripe black plum and prune in chocolate. The tannins are refined, but powerful and grippy. Their dryness is balanced by high acidity. The finish is long, and the wine develops on slightly animal (smoked meat, leather) and spicy (clove, nutmeg, liquorice) notes. Good structure and complexity on the palate.
