Château Peyrabon 2020 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

Château Peyrabon 2020 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur

The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose offers lots of fruit and gourmandise. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, wild blackberry, raspberry coulis, combined with notes of vanilla, licorice stick, cloves, as well as a fine touch of juniper and nutmeg in the background. We also find notes of pine needles, violet and dried mint, as well as a touch of coffee and toasted almond in the background. On the palate, the wine offers a beautiful fruitiness, concentration and freshness. It expresses notes of fresh morello cherry, fresh blackcurrant, blackberry, wild plum, wild strawberry and crushed blueberry, combined with notes of licorice, vanilla, cloves, ground coffee, cocoa, toasted almond, as well as touches of aromatic herbs (dried mint, bouquet garni), violet and dried wild flowers. The tannins are firm and give a solid structure to the wine, without being drying, thanks to a lively salivating acidity. Good length on fruit and gourmandise. A structured wine, but already accessible.
