Château Petit-Village 2022 – Pomerol

Château Petit-Village 2022 – Pomerol

Nice fresh, intense, fruity, airy nose and offers power in control as well as a certain straightness. We find notes of dense blackberry, Cubeb pepper and slight notes of fresh spices associated with pretty touches of cocoa/mocha, small fresh/bright fruits as well as hints of infusion and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is nicely mineral, fresh, frank, balanced and offers straightness, tension, accuracy, a mineral frame, a nice structure as well as a nice straight airiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, small dense/fresh black fruits and slight notes of roasted cherry associated with a touch of cornflower, blue plum, hints of plum blossom, mocha, incense as well as an almost smoky hint, toasted and toasted hazelnut. Good length. The tannins are powdery and elegant. Nice shimmering and flavour!
