Château Petit Village 2017 – Pomerol

Château Petit Village 2017 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, slightly tight, precise and elegant. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, fresh berries and more slightly crushed cassis associated with fine touches of cornflower/lily, liquorice stick and Cuben pepper. The palate is mineral, well-balanced and offers a good definition, suavity, a fine acid frame, a fine tension, straightness, precision, a beautiful structure, elegance, a fine unctuosity, a fine gourmandise as well as a very beautiful freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and more slightly blue fruits associated with small/fine touches of chocolate, almond, toasted, bulb as well as a very discreet hint of vanilla and roasted almond (in the background). Good length. Fine chews on the finish. There is a very discreet hint of cocoa/cocoa bitter on the finish/persistence. Good length.
