Château Petit Bocq 2018 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fruity, well-built, aromatic and offers power, a fine gourmandize and a small elegance. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe wild strawberry and small notes of Timut pepper associated with touches of ripe/fresh wild raspberry as well as a hint of violet and very discreet hints of spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, very finely tight, precise, racy and offers a mineral frame, juiciness, a good definition and a fine gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cassis, juicy/fleshy red berries and small notes of raspberry associated with a touch of violet/flowers, tonka bean, as well as subtle hints of sweet spices and very discreet hints of roasted. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
