Château Perron – La Fleur 2009 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is fruity. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, ripe cherry and crushed strawberry combined with touches of blackberry, chocolate, wood, hints of spices (nutmeg, Timut pepper, sweet spices) as well as a subtle / discreet hint of coffee, mushroom and an imperceptible hint of undergrowth. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, silky as well as offers a fine suavity, minerality, fine straightness and a very discreet salinity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis, wild strawberry and a touch of small berries associated with small touches of grilled oak, mocha, spices as well as a discreet hint of mushroom and an imperceptible hint of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length.
