Château Perron 2010 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is aromatic and offers a fine concentration and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of ripe redcurrant, raspberry and fine touches of cassis combined with a touch of cornflower, hints of spices (nutmeg, gray pepper) as well as a very discreet hint of cocoa and an imperceptible hint of leather. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a fine acid frame, minerality as well as fat / suavity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of ripe redcurrant, ripe wild strawberry and fine touches of cassis combined with a touch of cherry, touches of wood, nutmeg, undergrowth / mushroom as well as a subtle / very discreet hint of caramelized oak and a very discreet hint of salinity (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length.
