Château Pédesclaux 2016 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

Château Pédesclaux 2016 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, racy and offers power as well as harmony. It reveals notes of cassis and wild berries associated with small notes of liquorice stick, Sichuan pepper, flowers, fine touches of ripe wild raspberry as well as slight hints of nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of tonka bean / coffee (in the background). The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a beautiful juicy / acidulous frame, tension, straightness, precision, suavity as well as a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy wild berries, fleshy / juicy cherry and small notes of fleshy / juicy wild blackberry associated with a hint of flowers, licorice stick as well as slight hints of chocolate, toasted, toasted hazelnut and a very discreet hint of vanilla on the finish. Good length.
