Château Nénin 2012 – Pomerol

Château Nénin 2012 – Pomerol

The nose is aromatic, elegant, gourmand, racy and offers a fine depthness and gourmandise (in the background). It reveals notes of blueberry, crushed Boysenberry and terroir (blue clay) combined with discreet hints of crushed strawberry, redcurrant as well as subtle touches of wood, vanilla, sweet spices, cocoa and an imperceptible hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky, elegant, slightly tight, well-built and offers a beautiful mineral frame, a fine acidity, a fine unctuosity, a nice juiciness (finesse) as well as a fine straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy / fleshy blueberry, Boysenberry and slight notes of wild raspberry, fleshy/juicy redcurrant combined with fine touches of grilled oak, coffee, vanilla as well as a subtle hint of mocha and an imperceptible hint of tea. Tannins are well-built. The finish is slightly powerful. Good length. Beautiful persistence.
