Château Mouton Rothschild 2019 – Pauillac Grand Cru Classé

Château Mouton Rothschild 2019 – Pauillac Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fresh, racy and offers a beautiful finesse/elegance of the grain and deepness (in finesse). It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, ripe strawberry, small notes of small ripe black fruits associated with small touches of small ripe/crushed wild blue fruits, lily, violet, gravels/terroir as well as hints of zan, sweet spices, camphor/graphite, toasted oak, Sichuan pepper and an imperceptible hint of sage/basilic. The palate is elegant, delicate, fine, racy, beautifully defined, precise and offers a fine creaminess, a small aerial side, a very beautiful balance as well as density (in finesse/balance), a fine tension, power and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy wild cassis, juicy/pulpy blackberry, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of lily, violet as well as hints of tonka bean, almond, small crushed blue fruits, toasted hazelnut, a discreet hint of vanilla pod, toasted/grilled oak, a subtle hint of pepper, iode and an imperceptible hint of sage/basilic. Tannins are elegant, fine, beautifully built and very discreetly firm (perfectly dosed). A great wine! What an aromatic palette! A great wine full of control and subtility !
