Château Moulinet 2019 – Pomerol

Château Moulinet 2019 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, spicy with a fine smokiness. There are notes of violet, wild blackberries, bigarreau cherries and small notes of fresh tobacco associated with a fine touch of flowers such as violet and rose as well as a hint of smoke and fresh pepper. The palate is fruity with minerality and freshness. Its tangy structure has good definition, juiciness and a pulpy finish. There is a good job on the bitters. There are notes of fairly ripe blackberries, purple plums and slight notes of bigarreau cherries associated with touches of violets and lilies, graphite, fresh pepper and a hint of dried tobacco leaf and cornflower. We perceive a subtle hint of noble varietal in the background as well as vanilla and sweet spices. There is a subtle salinity on the lingering finish, good definition and supple, sapid tannins.
