The nose is finely closed and reveals a fine, tight grain and some concentration. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, liquorice and, more slightly, crushed strawberry combined with delicate touches of cooked blueberry as well as hints of bourbon vanilla and fine nuances of fresh blond tobacco. The palate shows freshness, minerality, volume, juiciness, smoothness, concentration, a good work on the press wine and a certain racy finesse. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, morello cherry and more slightly crushed strawberry combined with delicate notes of violet, pulpy cherry, liquorice as well as hints of zan, camphor, a subtle touch of saffron (in its flowery side), and fine hints of dark chocolate. The tannins are smooth, elegant, fine and precise.
