Château Meyney 2022 – Saint-Estèphe

Château Meyney 2022 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fresh and offers intensity, power as well as a nice stretched, precise, fine, tense side. It reveals notes of dry/saline gravel, pepper and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of small wild berries, hints of smoke, graphite, fine hints of spices as well as a subtle hint cloves and camphor. The palate is fruity, balanced, elegant, rich, opulent (but in balance) and offers freshness, beautiful definition, minerality, a fresh structure as well as an airy and compact side. A nice delicious and savoury fatiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, violet and small notes of small bright black berries associated with touches of pulpy black plum, cardamom, camphor as well as hints of toasted and a fine hint roasting. There is a discreet hint of sap on the persistence. Good length. The tannins are chalky and delicious. Good job on the bitters.
