Château Mercier 2014 – Côtes de Bourg

Château Mercier 2014 – Côtes de Bourg

The nose reveals notes of blackberry, undergrowth and ripe red fruits associated with small notes of spices as well as a touch of pepper and a discreet hint of truffle. The palate is frutiy, well-built and offers a beautiful juiciness, a beautiful minerality, a slight acid frame as well as suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy fleshy raspberry and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of cherry, a discreet hint of violet, small woody touches, spices, cacao/mocha as well as a very discreet hint of undergrowth and an imperceptible hint of tobacco. Tannins are well-built. The aftertaste is slightly powerful.
