Château Maucaillou 2022 – Moulis-en-Médoc

The nose is roasted/toasted, fresh and offers a fine intensity as well as a certain purity. It expresses notes of roasting, fresh blackberry and more slightly – small, bright red fruits, associated with small touches of fresh tobacco, sweet spices and a hint of nutmeg. The palate is mineral, fruity and offers a nice freshness, tension, accuracy, a mineral frame, a stretched/tense side. It expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, small juicy fresh black fruits and more slightly – roasted cherry associated with touches of liquorice/zan, camphor, nutmeg as well as fine hints of toasted almond and a hint of toasted.
