On the nose, aromatic, fruity and offers a fine concentration, a delicate strength and a discreetly tight texture. It reveals notes of ripe wild black currant, pulpy black berry and slightly fleshy strawberry combined with hints of wild berry and touches of grey pepper, sweet spice and a subtle waft of sweet/vanilla tobacco. On the palate, fruity and offers minerality, a nice fine/tight texture, juiciness, smoothness, good definition, a little fat. The wine expresses pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy black currant and more lightly violet notes combined with touches of small, bursting wild raspberry, pulpy berries and hints of zan, tobacco, nutmeg and a discreet hint of vanilla/tobacco (in the background). The tannins are delicate and well conducted.
