Château Martinet 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Martinet 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a fine richness/concentration (in the background). It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and more slightly crushed raspberry associated with fine touches of liquorice, caramelization, vanilla as well as an imperceptible hint of almond (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, gourmand, fat, full, suave and offers an unctuosity, tension as well as fleshiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy strawberry and more slightly crushed cassis associated with small notes of raspberry jam, liquorice stick as well as subtle  touches of sweet spices, mild tobacco, dark chocolate and caramelization. Tannins are fine and firm. Good length. The persistence is gourmand.
