The nose reveals notes of oak and sweet spices associated with subtle hints of Sichuan pepper, blackberry, cassis and strawberry as well as discreet touches of leather. The palate is fruity, gourmand, well-balanced, full, straight, slightly tight and offers a good definition, a fine unctuosity, a fine suavity, freshness as well as a small tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed raspberry, crushed cherry and more slightly ripe cassis associated with hints of redcurrant jam as well as subtle hints of chocolate, caramelization, mild tobacco and toasted. Tannins are slightly firm. Good length. There is a hint of dark chocolate on the finish.
