Château Marquis d’Alesme Becker 2018 – Margaux

The nose is fruity and offers concentration, intensity as well as a small freshness. It reveals notes of wild cassis, wils strawberry and small notes of black cherry associated with small touches of Cuben pepper, flowers, liquorice stick as well as very discreet hints of toasted and Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, an acidulous frame, tension as well as elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and small notes of juicy/fleshy strawberry associated with a touch of black cherry, violet flowers/lilac as well as fine touches of liquorice stick, tonka bean, toasted and a very discreet hint of cardamom. Tannins are elegant, straight and slightly firm. Very fine hints of hazelnut/toasted almond on the finish/persistence. Good persistence.
