Château Mangot – Cuvée Todeschini 2012 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand, aromatic and relatively powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry jam, cherry and cassis associated with small touches of flowers (blueberry, violet) as well as fine notes of toasted oak, sweet spices and a hint of licorice candy. The palate is fruity, gourmande, elegant, racy, fine, well-balanced, powerful, relatively fat and offers a nice silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, crunchy Gariguette strawberry and fine notes of cassis associated with a touch of flowers, blueberry, mocha, oak as well as discreet hints of coffee (in the background) and licorice (discreet). Tannins are fine, elegant and well-built. Good length and persistence.
