Château Mangot 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Château Mangot 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

Nice elegant, delicate, racy nose and offers power in subtlety, beautiful energy, depth, an infusion / almost maceration side, a textured side as well as a nice density in freshness and elegance. The nose, complete and accomplished, expresses itself in three dimensions. Nicely racy/mineral. We find notes of bright wild blackcurrant, violet, bright purple plum and more slightly small, almost roasted red fruits – fresh associated with touches of fresh bergamot / sense of place (local biotop / terroir) and graphite. The palate is nicely juicy/fresh, elegant, bright, harmonious and offers a nice maceration/infusion side, a lot of delicacy, a beautiful density, subtlety in its power, intensity in freshness, a warm side as well as a nice complex/multi-layered side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright Boysenberry, bright/juicy blackcurrant and small notes of small blue fruits associated with touches of Bigarreau cherry, small bright red berries as well as hints of bergamot, nutmeg, toasted as well as a fine, almost chocolatey hint. The tannins are supple, elegant, racy and discreetly powdery. Good length and nice persistence. A very beautiful vintage, a great nectar! Congratulations !
