The nose is fruity, fresh and offers nice ripe fruit, racy minerality and racy grain. There are notes of ripe / juicy cassis, nice little notes of bright black currants and ripe / fresh wild red currants associated with lily, violet, fresh gravels as well as fine hints of licorice, small currants, black tea, camphor, mocha and a subtle hint of toasted almond. The palate is fruity, well- balanced acidity and offers a juicy / tangy frame, racy (finely iodized) / gravelly minerality, good definition, roundness, fat, tension, deepness, concentration, a very nice quality of the fruit as well as a little dark side (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of small bright black fruits, bright cassis and more slightly juicy blackberry associated with touches of small juicy / luscious red berries, a touch of crushed raspberry, black licorice, black tea as well as ‘with fine hints of salinity, toasted almond, discreet hints of toasted hazelnut and a subtle hint almost incense at the end of the mouth / persistence. Tannins are precise, elegant and silky.
