Château Maine-Chaigneau – Cuvée JS 2020 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is fruity and offers a certain richness, a certain gourmandize as well as concentration and a small power. It reveals notes of pulpy red berries, fleshy strawberry, small notes of cassis associated with small touches of bright cherry, violet, pepper, fine hits of tabaco, cinnamon, spices and bergamot. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a good definition, a certain gourmandize, a small tension, racy minerality, suavity, a certain richness mastered/controlled and a good tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy raspberry, small bright red berries, small notes of juicy/acidulous blackberry associated with touches of violet, blond tabaco, vanilla, star anis as well as fine hints of hazelnut, toasted, a hint of bergamot and crushed almond. Good length. The tannins are finely soft. A small chew in the finish. A small power in the finish/persistence.
