Château Livran 2020 – Médoc

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration and freshness: it expresses notes of juicy blackcurrant, morello cherry, a sweet side of wild strawberry, a fine acidity of red cherry. We then find the spicy notes: vanilla, licorice, cinnamon, a subtle and integrated touch of oak (toast, coconut, a hint of caramel). The nose also expresses floral notes (cornflower, violet) and a delicate herbaceous hint (blackcurrant leaf, mint), and a touch of minerality (gravel). On the mouth, the wine is straight, chiseled, and at the same time juicy and fruity. It expresses the flavors of tart red cherry, crushed blackcurrant, morello cherry, strawberry and juicy raspberry, combined with fine notes of dried, toasted wildflowers, toasted vanilla, licorice, clove and cumin. The tannins are firm, but fine. Beautiful salivating acidity and a lingering finish with a subtle note of smoked meat and sweet roasted spices. A gourmand and structured wine.
