Château Les Vimières 2018 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is elegant, fine and offers delicacy, a very fine intensity as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of small quite ripe red fruits associated with small touches of almost saline minerality, violet as well as a hint of plum, pepper and discreet hints of spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a beautiful definition, gourmandize, precision as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain and an almost aerial side in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshy blackberry, fleshy/pulpy cassis and small notes of juicy/fresh wild raspberry associated with small red berries, cherry blossom, violet, an almost iodide minerality as well as fine hints of pepper, very discreet hints of spices, chocolate, an imperceptible hint of caramelization (in the background) and bitter of the cocoa. Tannins are elegant, structuring and fine.
