The wine is ruby colored, shiny and limpid. The first nose is aromatic with roasted notes, toast and vanilla. Even with aeration there are smoky aromas. But there are also light touches of violet and black fruits. The palate is fresh. We find fruits in brandy as well as toast. The tannins are present, a little dry but not extra powerful. The mid-palate is filled with roasted notes: coffee, cocoa, liquorice, toasted bread and toasted coconut. There are also black fruits like cherry and blackberry. It’s pretty and balanced. The finish is on the toast. Simple and efficient.
