Château Les Grandes Murailles 2010 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, racy and offers elegance, deepness as well as a slightly tight fine grain and a small tension. It reveals notes of quite ripe Boysen berry, very ripe cassis, small notes of violet, fleshy strawberry associated with touches of small fleshy blue fruits, cornflower as well as fine hints of nutmeg, liquorice stick and a very fine hint of underwood. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous fine frame, juiciness, gourmandize as well as a fine franc side, a certain density, suavity and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy cassis, crushed Boysen berry, small notes of crushed strawberry associated with small touches of chocolate/tonka bean, caramelization as well as fine hints of toasted, toasted hazelnut and very discreet hints of Sichuan pepper. A very finely tight finish. Tannins are finely dry. An imperceptible hint of cocoa/grilled on the persistence.
