The wine has a deep ruby color, with purple reflections. The nose is fragrant, silky, juicy and offers a certain sweetness of ripe fruits and sweet spices. It expresses notes of morello cherry, red cherry jam, redcurrant jelly, crushed blueberry and fresh blackcurrant; associated with tasty notes of clove, nutmeg, licorice, as well as a touch of freshness, brought by the floral scents of rose and violet and a touch of blackcurrant bud. There is also a fine touch of mint chocolate and toasted hazelnut in the background. On the palate, the wine is juicy and offers lots of fruit, combined with a fine floral notes, a hint of toast and spiciness. It expresses the flavors of fresh morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, blackcurrant and wild blackberry, as well as notes of blackcurrant bud, wild mint and violet. The notes of torrefaction and spices (coffee, licorice, cloves, roasted hazelnuts in the background) are enveloped and delicate. The tannins are firm, a bit grippy. The finish is moderately persistent, with light herbaceous notes and good bitterness. Nice salivating acidity.
