Château L’Ecrin de Couleys 2015 – Médoc

The nose is fruity and offers a slight intensity / richness. There are notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy raspberry and slight blueberry associated with discreet hints of crushed wild strawberry, Bourbon vanilla and a subtle / discreet touch of gravelly minerality, spice and imperceptible mocha tip. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine juiciness, a good guideline and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, fleshy currant and slight more fresh cherry associated with touches of juicy red fruits, vanilla and a very discreet hint of chocolate. Tannins are fine and slightly mellow. Good length. Gourmandise on persistence. Presence of an imperceptible touch of almond and minerality almost saline on the aftertaste.
