Château Le Rey – Les Argileuses 2017 – Castillon Cotes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic and offers a slight intensity. It reveals notes of cassis and blueberry associated with small notes of strawberry, flowers as well as discreet hints of liquorice, lily and terroir / loamy soil. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, (very) slightly tight and offers a beautiful juiciness, a very beautiful freshness, minerality, dynamism, a crunchy fruit, a bit tight grain, an acid frame as well as a slight suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy blackberry and crunchy / fresh raspberry combined with touches of ripe / crunchy red berries as well as slight touches of lily / flowers and licorice. Tannins are well-built. There is a very discreet hint of toasted almond and vanilla on the persistence. Beautiful identity!
