Château Le Pape 2020 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity and offer a nice freshness, a small richness, a very fine power as well as a fine creaminess. It reveals notes of wild/pulpy cassis, small pulpy/ripe black berries, small notes of bright/fresh raspberry associated with touches of violet, fresh strawberry, zan as well as fine hints of sweet spices/vanilla and a very discreet hint of pepper. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a good definition, a fine tension, a nice precision as well as finesse of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cassis, small notes of purple pulpy plum associated with touches of raspberry, small red currants, fine hints of star anis, zan, a subtle hint of racy minerality as well as a discreet hint of chocolate and tea. The tannins are precis and finely firm. good length.
