The nose is fruity and offers power, a very fine grain, a racy minerality as well as a fine intensity. It reveals notes of cassis, violet plum and small notes of violet associated with fine touches of fleshy small wild berries, fine hints of gray pepper / Cuben as well as discreet toasted hints and vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral frame (racy / Graves minerality), precision, gourmandize as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / fleshy blackberry, juicy / fleshy cassis and small notes of juicy / fleshy plum associated with touches of juicy raspberry, flowers (violet / cornflower), nutmeg, spices as well as a subtle hint of varietal and an imperceptible toasted hint / chocolate. Tannins are elegant and well-built. Good persistence.
